I konked out at close to my regular time last night around 10:30 which is hard to stay awake past since my first alarm goes off at 4:45am every day, but I woke up at 4 am and I cannot for the life of me fall back asleep. Restless mind syndrome I guess. Anyway, I'm up now... Guess my body just wants to follow this screwy schedule. I'm NOT a morning person by nature, but it looks as though I have adapted into one.
Man, I love the morning. I'm definitely one of those "early to bed, early to rise" kind of people. In bed at 9 or 10, up at 5-5:30. Slept in this morning. Up at 6:00!
Well if it's any consolation to you, I never used to be a morning person either. However in order to fit my life in..mostly, I am in bed pretty early most nights and up making breakfast at 4:30 or 5:00 every weekday morning.
Og.

I went to bed at 11:30 last night and I could still hear my son sing in his bed.. Got up at 4:00 this morning thinking it was 5:00. Quickly finished packing boxes and went out for my morning walk. The security personnels of our housing/apartment complex were staring at me. I came back home to realise that I was an hour early. Since there was so much time, I went for swimming. It's 9:30 now and I bet I will be sleepy after lunch.
But boy right now the feeling is great.. all the muscles are so well relaxed.
I hate mornings. I am definitely an afternoon/evening person - always have been. I could stay up to the wee hours if I didn't have to get up at 6 for work. As it is, I'm rarely in bed before midnight. I always could relate to that Dorothy Parker line that went something like ... "You mean there are actually TWO seven o'clocks in the same day??"
(Sorry to hear you can't sleep, JP. My wife has the same issue - she wakes up and then the brain comes alive with all the stuff she needs to deal with and there is no going back to sleep. Fortunately for me, I seem to be able to shut that off myself. I know what you're going through though. )
