Anyone here watch the match?

It obviously did not go the way anyone thought. Arsenal showed great heart competing with only ten men against the ridiculous talent of Barca. Some questionable calls marred the match and I thought that the rain hampered some of the brilliance of players like Henry and Ronaldinho. Rijkaard's insertion of Larsson was obviously huge. His touch on the Eto'o goal (offside???) was simply sublime.

Thoughts?

i'm a arsenal fan so my opinion will be biased

the problem was that they were running their ass of to stop ronaldinho, when larsson entered the game nobody was covering him + he was fresh. So it was logic that he gave 2 assits. Too bad Lehman got a red card, they should have approved the goal and gave him yellow..

I totally agree. Of course, I'm an Arsenal fan as well! I had a sickening feeling after Lehman was sent off, but the boys played extraordinary football with 10. Bad result, great effort.

The best thing that came from the match was Henry committing to be a Gunner for life. Let's hope Arsene is able to attract a class midfielder or striker to help out Thierry and unseat Chelsea.

yeah I'm also looking forward to the transfers of arsenal this summer!
don't forget that they have a certain man named theo walcott ready for his debut in the first team hehe

The referee was an absoloute disgrace, he was the 12th Barcelona player, at least he admitted that he made a mistake.

He got noticably more leniant towards Arsenal towards the end of the second half, perhaps the realisation that he had been so wrong before? Either way, his decision to send Lehman off was horrible; 17mins into the Champions League final...

Henry started well but then faded badly as he got tired and frustrated. It would have been a different story with 11v11 rather than 10v12.
