What a great turnout, Joe. I'm really looking forward to the hike. Got my camera batteries all charged up!

Joe, I don't have a helmet to bring si if I could borrow on that'd be great. Otherwise it's cool. Are there some steep downhill portions?

AZDon's plane takes off early sunday morning, so he won't be riding, which means that Emartin can definitely borrow my bike. Quick question for Eric if he's reading this... Are you pretty good at basic bike maintenence? My bike just got out of the shop recently and it is ghost shifting like crazy. It has a new chain/cassette and got tuned up in general, but I think the cable needs to be loosened. If you can't do this type of adjustments I need to try to get it into the shop this week to fine tune it before you take it out on a ride or you will go crazy on every climb while it pops out of gear.

JP, if you can't get it to the shop Aaron may be able to get it going pretty quick. He's got mad skills.

I'm sure we can rustle up a helmet- you'll want one. I'm going to bust ODB out and tell you that this one time, at band camp...no wait I mean one time at Cedar Glades, ODB started off on one of the newer trails and was looking down and caught a fallen tree in the noggin. Went over like Hulk Hogan body slammin a 3 yr old. Wear a helmet.

I'll check to see if we have an extra helmet. I know I have mine but I broke it when I got mad at the bike and the helmet was hanging off the handlebar part. I still use it though since it is only a small piece from behind the ear that broke off.

I hope I don't disappoint you Kuri. I also hope that in busting Joe's chops I don't end up getting karmic payback busting my ass on the trail. It's been known to happen.

Helmet's packed, shoes aren't, dammit. And I won't be home to get them.

As long as there are clips & straps, I'll be OK.

No problem CG. Your bike has flat pedals so you should be cool. Hope you got your padded shorts.

Would there be any way for us to shower at JP's gym after this hike?

Hey JP - sorry for the late response. We've been busy today (see other thread). I can see what I can do, I'm no magician with the bike, but I can give it a go. Don't worry about spending money in the shop on it, I'll make it work. Always have!

I've got an extra helmet or two...if your head's not too big

I also have a spare bike, but it only has skinny tires on it....

Scratch that. I forgot that I had my shoes with me for a spin class. But I'll manage with whatever you've got set up for me. And yeah, the shorts are packed, not that I don't have enough padding of my own.

Here is the current forecast for Sunday:

Sunny, with a high near 71. East northeast wind around 5 mph.

I know, most of them are already on there way but I couldn't help it. It's going to be so sweet.

I just went down to the Summit to make an annoucement about the festivities for tomorrow. Quite a crowd there. Hartman was just about to give a demo as I was leaving. Got a chance to talk to Lou and Kuri(Chris) a little bit. Finally met Eric Martin and said hi to Kaiser. Others I'm leaving out. Did I say it? Damn it's a big crowd this year!

P.S. Og, did you check out that video of tomorrows ride?

Looks awesome ODB. Hopefully next year I can make it, and ride like the first minute of it before I fall too far behind the rest of ya.
