Losta interesting stuff on the map. Magnus Hanso really caught my eye, as did the various experiments that DI is/was running on the island. My mind reels....
Another Hurley-centric episode this week. We get to see what sent him to the looney-bin.
BTW, Jack being a poker-shark was great. They really are making him a well-rounded character, not your typical hero. My only wish is that Kate would be used for more than just window dressing - and a few more skinny dipping scenes would be nice. lol
I'm a lost addict. There's another version of the map that Entertainment W eekly decoded. Still, I think a lot of the text on the map is fluff the producers are using to throw people off.
If they've seen the medical hatch, the swan hatch, and the arrow, then how have they not seen the other hatches? Plot holes, which bug me. None of the characters are inquisitive enough (except Michael and they sent him off) or we'd have this mystery solved.
BJ, you are behind us in Australia. So don't read any further in this post.
Well, 2 more hours until the season finale beginning tonight. We're supposed to find out why the plane was brought down, where Walt is, and there is supposed to be some sort of confrontation between Flight 815 survivors and the Others. Oh yeah... another hatch too, located in what looks like a primitive village. Michael is now a central figure after his shooting and killing of Ana Lucia and probably also Libby (didn't see that coming!). Any thoughts on who else may die? As much as I LOVE Evangeline Lilly, the character of Kate seems to have run it's arc. I wouldn't be surprised if she was killed off (although that would make mostly hot women be the ones who were taken out ). But she has been useless.... a few episodes back (when she went off in the jungle with Jack), she hit the 'Kate trifecta': getting soaked in her tank top, tagging along aimlessly for no reason, and screwing things up. That's just plain sad.
Is all fo that stuff supposed to happen tonight?? If so, OON-GOW-AA!!
I too was shocked by Michael's actions at the end of last week's episode. That was crazy! What do you think was his motive? I think there are 3 possibilities:
1. He was brainwashed by the Others, and they sent him on a mission to free Henry and wreak havoc.
2. He was blackmailed by the Others... Free Henry or else you'll never see Walt again.
3. He's trying to create a sense of urgency within the group to go attack the Others and rescue Walt.
I think that the third reason is pretty sinister, which wouldn't exactly fit into Michael's persona (that we know of). I'm hoping that he was blackmailed and forced into action against his will. Apologizing to Ana Lucia before he shot her indicates that that may have been the case. I guess we'll find out more tonight!
Kaiser, you seem awfully optimistic about the vast amount of info they'll spill in a few episodes. I doubt it will be that extensive, but I guess we'll see.
I think they wrote off the AnaLucia and Libby characters for the problems that the actresses have been causing. As long as Evangeline stays away from run-ins with the law (unlike Kate!) I think the scriptwriters will find something for her to do. But of course, you never know with this program.
Jamie -- I think Michael's been given a posthypnotic suggestion or something like that. I think the Dharma project is related to mind control. But there's Lost boards for endless discussions of that kind of stuff.

Lindelof and Cuse (the executive producers and the very funny part of the Official Lost podcast) have said that we are supposed to find out those things before the end of season 2. It'll make up for how little happened the rest of the season!
They also swore up and down that Michele Rodriguez' story arc was planned for one season only. They claimed that people would think that it was for the reasons you stated and even considered changing that death just because of that. Not sure if I am buying it since the end result here seemed.... very hasty.
BTW, the new Hanso Foundation website is up - there are so many hidden easter eggs on it, it is crazy! Check it out if you haven't already.
Bro - you're just as confused as I am. WTF???? I'm getting more "lost" than I am getting questions answered. This is starting to get frustrating in a bad way. I just said to my wife tonight that the show is just starting to get too intricate. They keep adding more and more questions and don't give ANY answers. If this keeps up, I'm afraid they're going to start losing some of their audience. You can't keep dangling a piece of meat in front of a dog and not give him any and expect him to keep interest....... or can you? Damnit. I'm "lost" again.
Well, I read an interview where they said they are going to 'close the door on the hatch thing' by the end of the season. This may be step 1 (the hatch is just a skinnerian type experiment - of course, maybe it isn't for the hatch occupants, maybe it is for the people watching them! Arghhhh!!!). Anyway, the season finale is supposed to be a flashback from Desmond's point of view. It's supposed to end speculation on the hatch, and also on why 815 was brought down. As you can see in the preview, we'll also find out about Walt. So they will provide answers - and create more questions too.
Just a few answers. That's all I need. I'm anxious for next week big time now. From Desmond's pov huh? That should be interesting. And why 815 was brought down? Oooooooooo..... now that's really interesting.
Oh! BTW K, was that "psychic" dad of the miracle girl the same psychic that urged Claire to make flight 815 and to be sure that she raise the baby? I'm pretty sure it was, whaddaya think?
Yep, same psychic. Except here he was claiming he wasn't. Was he on the payroll of Dharma/Hanso to get Claire on the flight and to the island? Or was he lying and is really a psychic but knew that he couldn't delay Eko's departure since Eko also needed to be on that plane and if he stayed for the miracle, he wouldn't make it?
Not sure, but if I was a gambling man I'd say the latter. That episode of him (psychic) urging on Claire was one of my very favorites. He really seemed too damn scared of what would happen if she didn't raise the baby herself to be acting a part to just get her on the plane (IMO). I keep hoping for more info on the baby and it's place in that nightmare of the psychic's. Damn, so many freak'n questions.
Did you guys see the commercial for the Hanso Foundation? I left the room for a minute and came back at the very end. I wonder if it gave us any clues.
Here is what I found out about the website www.sublymonal.com listed on the commercial from another forum site.....
I went there...you hear creepy sounds...there are six TV screens flashing static facing each other in the shape of a a Dharma logo...The word "OBEY" is in the center. As you click on them in a certain order (think the old game Simon) a TV set will stop showing static and a green glow emits from it. Keep clicking until you've turned all the sets green.
You get a message that reads "Sublymonal Code Unlocked"...A TV flashed a code word:
Heir Apparent
Click just below the "Sublymonal Code Unlocked" sign and you will be directed to thehansofoundation.org page...speciffically to the Executives Bio page. Click on Dr. Thomas Werner Mittelwerk's picture. You will be directed to his Bio. On top of his bio, a log in box will appear. Type in: Heir Apparent.
The page morphs..the music turns dark and a black hole opens in the center of the page...It looks like a hallway...Mittlewerk's name will appear in red to the right of the black hole. Click it...a woman appears in the doorway...dressed in a hospital gown of some kind...click on her...She turns to face you..Can't make out who she is. We zoom into her face...but it gets too dark to see who she is.
Then a piece of paper appears...highlighted in yellow...the red X's blocking out some of the text. "Your" shadow is cast on the paper...(much like the Ch. 4 UK website) as if you are looking at your own shadow being cast on the paper. A red line appears at the top of the page. Click it. Writing begins to appear across the top of the page. A woman's voice accompanies it:
"Caltech has no record of this guy in their Alumni database. He's never made a tuition payment. Does he even have a college degree? Why does he call himself a doctor?...of what? Who is this clown?"
The page appears to be a search done to investigate Mittlewerk's college accreditation. When she's done saying "Who is this clown?"...the page returns back to normal.
Just part of the clues being given out to solve The Lost Experience. have no idea what it means...Just something to keep us LOST fans busy while watching repeats over the summer.
Now discuss...........

-The guy who was with Sayid in the desert (actor Clancy Brown) is listed on the credits for tonight's show as Kelvin (they guy Desmond said pulled him into the hatch). Very interesting, and I'm sure significant, crossover.
-Harold Perrineau (Michael) is apparently not listed as a regular for next season, meaning the Michael/Walt story arc should be resolved tonight or at least put on hold. They are supposed to explain Walt's growth spurt next season.
- Can't wait to see the Desmond flashbacks - should help to explain a lot!
-While Libby is dead and buried and Hurley won't be getting any anytime soon, she apparently plays a big part in the connections and will be reappearing from time to time in the flashbacks.
-Anyone going to be a cliffhanger possible death? My money would be on Michael or Kate.
How are they going to answer all of the questions we have in just 2 hours????
PS: Their sublymonal thing is a product tie in with Sprite and part of the Lost Experience to try to keeo viewers interested over the summer hiatus.
I have a strange feeling this thread will grow in leaps and bounds by tonight. Lots of "WTFs".
Even though I know there will be a cliffhanger, I sure hope lots of questions get answered.
