I need to vent! This week has been terrible...multiple midterms and very little sleep. I also bought 3 items on ebay from 3 different sellers and all 3 are scams in different ways!!! Last night I lost my wallet (fell out of my pocket in the cafeteria of my dorm) and this morning I was told that it was found, however I got it back minus the $120 cash I had in it. I'm dying!!!
Well, one thing went my way this week. I didn't miss a workout.
My neighbor and friend just passed away, pretty unexpectedly, on Tuesday, after a long bout with cancer, leaving her husband and twin 5 year old girls. I was having a pretty rough week until that--it put lots of things in perspective. I've hugged my wife and kid a little tighter and longer this week...
Well, thanks for the positive perspective guys, just what I needed. The bad week goes on - I didnt hear my alarm this morning and missed weightlifting class, which I really wanted to go to, plus theres an attendance grade!
Fish, I'm very sorry to hear about that. Whenever a loved one is lost it makes you love everyone else more, in some ways its a valuable wake-up call.
wow fish. i was coming in here to bitch about my week too and WOW that put things into perspective- thank you. i'm so sorry about your friend, i hope her family is alright
*Note.. Fishr.. I wrote this before reading your comment.. really sorry to hear about your loss and imagine the sadness for the husband and the twins... my deepest condolences.*

I've had some pretty bad periods in my life where à whole lot of things went wrong one after the other.. and one of those times I thought to myself.."OK! if just ONE other thing goes wrong, I'll have enough to write a book!" It actually made me laugh.. and things started going better after that.
So I'll have to wait for another real bad-luck streak to write a book!
and I think about it each time multiple things start going wrong and it makes me smile
Zach I know what that alarm clock deal is like. I have 2 alarms on my cell fone and another convential alarm clock. I have to throw them under my bed or under the couch in my room so I have to actually get up out of bed to turn them off. Put your alarm clock on the other side of the room if you don't get up for it and just subconsciously smack the snooze button. It actually does help.
Alarm clocks? We don't need no stinkin' alarm clocks.
Fish,
Sorry to hear about your friend passing away. I have had glimpses into your perspective on life and that you will somehow gain stregth to deal with this.
Well as long as we are venting here. We got a call Thursday morning about 2 am telling us that my wifes uncle killed himself. The rest of the week has kinda been a blur since then.
Fish & C&C I'm very sorry to hear about y'all loss. Hang in there it will get better.
Zach, I'm with NYGUY, what goes around comes around.Once again, hang in there.
Awww I'm really sorry that you are all having such a crappy week. Sorry for your loses, losing a person you care about is really hard to deal with, I hope you can gain strength for the memories. Zach what goes around comes around, have faith in karma..
