Actually most threads don't get a rating at all. Very few rate the motivator but express their likes or dislikes with their posts. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Erika, you cannot even begin to compare giving all the threads 5-star ratings to being derogatory and incindiary to all the forum members. Please don't insult my intelligence or character by drawing that correlation.

I'm not sure exactly what you're talking about.. but..

I think the star ratings are poles.. so even if someone gives 5 stars to all the treads.. if everyone joins in the ratings can go down and level out to what the forum really thinks of the threads.. It's only at the begining that one persons action dictates the results.

Mary Lou: FYI, the proper word would be polls, as in a vote. Poles are long things, like for power lines or skiing.

The real question is: why would any IDIOT rate RH's birthday thread with one star? I think this whole rating thing is dumb. In my opinion if you rate a thread, it should at least show who did it.

Naw, jenn. That's the only one I've rated. I just gave it a "one" to give Rock a hard time on his b-day. Just to let you know, we've been buddies for a few years now.
