The "views" counter for a thread doesn't discriminate if the same person repeatedly views the post. If a thread has almost no responses, you can repeatedly click on the link and hit back on your browser, and it'll make it look like TONS of people looked at it but noone responded. It was, actually. I was on a boat tour of Milford Sound, New Zealand. The boat had a handful of people from all over the world on it. I met this really nice older woman who was there with her extended family from Israel. I met a husband and wife who worked in photography. They were originally from RI, but like all retiree's from my state had moved to FL. Small world, finding another RIer halfway around the world on a tiny boat in the middle of a fjord!
An even faster way is to just keep clicking the mouse on the forward and back buttons without waiting for the page to load. I got over 200 views here in less than 2 minutes. Seriously, I need to get a life urgently.
