Need Date Idea

I wanted to take my wife out this weekend for something special like a diner and something else. We thought about getting a spa massage package but that won't work for us for reasons I won't mention. Does anybody else have any other ideas?

how about a play or something along the lines of a concert under the stars type of thing(only not outside this time of the year) ??? it depends on your interests. a butterfly conservatory or something like that is really beautiful, and warm too [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

She wants to take go to an off broadway play but I'm so critical of plays that I don't know if I can stand it. Those are good ideas, though.

two words - comedy club. YOu can grab a steak at Peter Luger, the head over to the Improv, or Caroline's, or whatever's left up there. A good meal, and some good laughs. Always a good time...

why not do dinner and a cute carriage ride around the park? i know it's kind of touristy but it's cute too [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Thank you all for the replies. We thought about all the things mentioned above and we are closer to the off broadway show. The problem with the outdoors alternatives is the weather (not to mention that image of Kramer's horse farting while he was driving the carriage). We thought about a comedy club but it's too late and the babysitter wouldn't accept it. Scores? I thought about it, hehe.

While in NY over Thanksgiving, my brother took me a club called Splash on 17th Street. I think she'd enjoy the music and scenery.

Once, I took a girl on a tour of the town we lived in (Whittier). It was a free little bus tour and we saw all sorts of things that we didn't realize were even there. Famous places, trivia, etc. Sometimes the tourists know more about your own hometown than you do.
