Yup... Ira's right. My last control panel didn't allow for that function. Now I don't have to worry as much. Everything will be filtered through a panel of selected mods. I haven't gotten around to reinstating the mods yet, but they will all go back up. One of the problems is that some of their profiles are missing. After I get that problem fixed I will start putting mods back in place.
I will have a few mods in there screening posts, so it won't just be me if that is your concern. The only posts that won't make it through are those that are uncivil. All of the mods will be reinstated as soon as I have time to tackle that hurdle.
I am just testing this for now. The good news is that anyone can currently post without pre-approval and authorization from the host. I may drop this if it becomes too much of a hassle. I just like the idea of keeping that particular forum cleaner since the topics can get a little hot sometimes. If it makes the forum lame or boring I will probably change though. Just bear with me while I experiment a little.
Thanks for the reply JP. I meant no insinuations at all. I just hate to see spirited debate suppressed too much. Moreover, there are more people I have gained respect for through spirited debate.
I personally would hate to see that disappear as well. The types of posts that would not make it through would be either insulting, which departs from spirited, or something that adds nothing to the thread. I want there to be some strong discussion though. It is the sole purpose for CE's existance.
