Yeap, that's right! My sister delivered a baby boy yesterday afternoon by C-section. He's 8 pounds, 8 ounces and 20 inches long. They've named him Lake James. 'Course the whole family had been on edge for days. She was a week overdue and went into the hospital on Friday so they could induce her. They tried a few different things Friday, Saturday and into Sunday morning but the baby just wouldn't come naturally. Apparently, he's got a rather large head, taking after his father's side. Ugh! Regardless, mother and baby Lake are doing great! I'm so psyched!!!

And exactly what did he get from your family's side? (You know what I mean)
Congratulations, Jamie.

Uh, about the kids of my own, Mrs. Bond and I have suspended negotiations. I think I'll need a profesional "labor" attorney. DOH!
In all seriousness, though, we decided when we got married that we'd start talking about a family after our 10th anniversary, which we did. We just haven't decided yet wholeheartedly to make that plunge. We're really enjoying our lives together and we believe that we're still FAR to selfish to share that life with children. We do have 2 dogs, though -- that should count for something at least!

Jamie, this is a decision only you and Jackie can make clearly, but you wouldn't believe how selfless you can be until you're staring into the eyes of your own child. It's life-transforming.

I agree with K-court and TinMan on that.. but want to add .. If you keep in shape.. you'll still have alot of time AFTER the kids are grown to be Selfish the way you say..
and on the otherhand.. my boyfriend doesn't have kids.. and he doesn't seem to be unhappy about it ..
hummmm he is an UNCLE to some very lucky kids though.
Congrats! Being an uncle is the best, you can play with them all you want, then give them back to mom & dad whenever they get upset. Plus, you get to teach them all kinds of good words (my nephew just turned 19 months, and currently tells me every time my sister or her husband go to the bathroom).
