These guys are simply amazing.

I know something similar to this was posted awhile back but without the building jumping.

It reminds me of the Matrix when Neo was jumping from building-top to building-top.

Anyway, I'll shut up now and let you see for yourself

Shark -

In some circles it's called free running or parkour. I seriously gave a thought to getting started awhile back after reading an article in my local paper. These guys are simply amazing. I decided that I wanted to gain a little more muscle more than I wanted to start training for parkour so right now I'm bulking but later next year I still plan to get into training for it. I just need to slim down from my bulking weights.

I agree with you, it's incredible and would be such a rush. Most of the guys you see doing it have been training for quite some time and it all starts inside a gym with the emphasis on learning how to fall properly ie> rolling yourself up when landing from heights.

I'm sure most of you seen the Nike commercial that featured Sebastien Foucan running through the streets of a city with his Nike shoes on.
There was also a discovery channel "documentary" on his descent into the streets of London and attempting a huge jump off the highest level of a battleship onto the deck some 100 feet below.

Amazing.

Good luck and I wish you great success if you attempt training Sharky. Let us know how it goes!

gymrat - thanks for the link. I need to find out where i can find a place near me to train for this sort of thing.

I saw the video and felt instantly inspired. I literally LOVE jumping over, off of, and onto things. When i was in elementary school, i used to beg kids to dare me to jump off of stuff just so i'd have an excuse to do it - the top of the playground, big rocks, etc.

Holy crap this looks fun!

So does anyone have any idea how you find people to start training for this stuff with? I can't imagine having such mastery over my body like that!

and why's cool stuff like that always happen in europe??

There were two documentaries on them

"Jump London" and "Jump UK"

The second one spoke of the spread around the world and start up clinics.

You mind find them on P2P

You asked 2 questions and I answered both of them in one word. A gymnastics gym is the best place to find people to start training for this stuff. And cool stuff like this happens in europe because gymnastics is more popular there than it is here.

Why is some ring, pommel, and bar work and bodyweight exercises something that you couldn't do? Gymnastics and tubmling will help you develop a mastery over your body.

Buk - thanks for the clarification! I didn't mean that gymnastics would be useless. I meant that I just can't do it for a few reasons...

- Time
- Money
- At 22, i'm just too old to start doing that

Seth, Irish - Thanks for the links!!
