Hi guys
A lot of us here use the net a lot, and it looks like spy & adware is quiet a problem. Now I have downloaded Spybots S&D, and it did an ok job, but you have to run the program to detect something. Now, I was wondering, is there any program which runs real time? Its like those pop-up blockers, where they actually show you they stop it. It would be best if I can stop it before it actually makes it into the system.
P.S Im looking for a free program. Any ideas?

word up on the firefox-cut down almost all of my pop-ups, including the ones due to spyware. i use spybot but also run spyware doctor. just go to download.com and check out their stuff. run the spyware stuff every day or every other day at most and you'll be fine.

That will get rid of the spyware, make sure you run every couple of days or you can get the Professional version which has a real-time spyware and pop-up blocker.

Spybot has something called TeaTimer (or Spybot Resident-SD) that runs in the background and catches spyware (and other questionable processes). Make sure that's installed and enabled. Does a number for me. I echo the comments on Firefox and Ad-Aware as I use both.

i havent seen a pop-up ad on firefox for months which has been heavenly
