I saw I Robot last night. Good flick, great effects. The question i have is, Who is Will Smiths trainer. I remember him as a scrawny little guy. He was way pumped.

He's been packing on over the last few years. He really bulked up for his role as Ali. He was definitely looking pretty thick. He looks like he's done a small cycle to tell you the truth. I could have done without that entire opening sequence, but I'm sure the chicks will love it. It was a decent movie. Pretty high action for sure. Which showing did you go to? I was at the 10:05 at the Rave.
The big problem I have with movie versions of Phillip Dick novels is that the protagonists in the movies are always some sort of action hero while what makes the books go is that the protagonist in the books is an average guy. This is probably more of the same.
I think this version of I, Robot was "suggested" by the writings of Asimov (but, obviously, the title and the "3 laws" come directly from them). There was a screenplay written a while back by asimov and ellison - not sure if that was ever actually made or not, though.
I'm itching to see it only because it was directed by the same guy who did Dark City (Alex Proyas) which has got to be one of my all time faves...
