I wrote up a trip report from our recent trip to White Rock Mountain in Arkansas. To big to put on the board so here it is:

That is one of my favorite get-aways! I have climbed many of those cliffs too. That is where I have spent many-a-new year's celebration, and also where I conducted the wedding ceremony for my friend, Morgan. I am envious of you guys for getting to go. Next time we need to all go up together (if we could convince my mom to take all three kids for a weekend!).

And to finish the day by the fireplace on a cabin drinking wine makes the day perfect. Nice pics! Is that your wife?

Beautiful pics Joe! and that is quite a smile you had in that fireplace shot

Reminds me of home. I love those late fall hikes when the air is crisp.

Did you see any wildlife?

Well, during hunting season most of the wildlife is a bit scarce. On the drive up we did see a beautiful red tailed hawk sitting in a tree along the road just waiting to kill something. On the drive out we saw 5 wild turkeys cross the road right in front of us.

The other problem when hiking this time of year is that you make a good bit of noise walking through all the dead leaves. The hunters have to sit still for quite some time.
