Well not really fast, but anyway...I've recently started talking with a girl from elementary school [who i had a crush on] again and I convinced her to ditch a party (that she didn't wanna go to) and to go out with me Friday night. The thing is we haven't really had any communication besides online (she found me on myspace.com through a mutual friend). So it would really be like a "1st date", which I'm getting excited for. I do need some ideas about where we should go though, keep in mind I'm only 19 (she's 20).
Feed the ducks, or if that doesn't work, look here. First Date Ideas Because you know if its a question about the ladies, Sharkie has already been therr.
When I read the first line I thought you were picking up chicks at elementary school.
Outdoor concerts are always a good call. In alot of cities they have concerts in the park during summer. Also if possible do it Mon-Thurs. There's alot less expectation than on a weekend and it can be easier to relax and have a just have a good time.

Yeah, I try to avoid bars and movie theaters (unless there's a specific event in mind) early on because you can't talk to each other. And while we can get really turned on just by standing next to a really hot girl, most girls need to hear us speak first. Crazy women! (Of course, don't take her someplace too quiet and just "sit her down to talk". It's gotta be fun too.)

Is she athletic? Try rock climbing. Or ride your bikes to a picnic spot.
OR....

Try sidewalk chalk and get a good lawyer.
Fish thinks you should visit your old school and get a lesson from your grammar teacher
I stick by my comments to Shark. Go somewhere that inspires conversation but isn't totally distracting like a movie or theater. I vote for a gallery, art exhibit or even a hands on museum. May seem like a place for kids, may be a place geared for kids but it's fun, it's interactive and will give both of you insight to the other's personality. An outdoor concert might be fun if you have similar taste in music, or a summer festival if there is one close to you this weekend.

Find a carnival type atmosphere.....no way to get bored..yet plenty of opportunity to talk. Very relaxed atmosphere...late in the date...find a nice quiet coffee house.
i'm a dork but i love to paint pottery and would love it if a guy would go with me (although i know that's HIGHLY unlikely). i love going to outdoor festivals as a first date.
and if you don't like that idea, then go to a coffee shop and catch up. Or better, go to a cheap dinner and catch up while window watching people, OR...
if you have one in your area, do a drive-in movie!! We have one here in RI, and it's super kick ass!

Chera, the whole time I was reading your second post, I thought you were talking about stars as in celebrities. Until I got to the part about the stars have to be out for this....haha, anyway, thanks for the suggestions guys. I think I'm going to look for a street fair type thing (but those are usually sat-sun - not friday night.)
She said she likes to run but I don't think that would be a fun first date, plus my knee is killing me (I twisted it playing ball). Anyway, still looking.
