Talking Sweet Tooth

Since starting NROL4W I have increased my protein intake to make up at least 30% of my daily calories. I am also trying to cut out sweets...

But I have a sweet tooth! I love frozen yogurt!

So my question is, when is the best time to eat such a treat? I always thought that it would be best right after a workout since my body needs carbs but I'm just not sure.

Any insight?

I have a sweet tooth, too! I don't know if there's a metabolically 'ideal' time to eat sweets. I'd be curious to know the answer to that question. But if I eat sweets, it has to be at the end of the day-- if I eat them early, I crave them all day long..... Too bad b/c I could eat cinnamon rolls for breakfast every f-ing day. YUM!

Sweet tooth x 3! I'm with Evie, if I eat them early I crave them all day. Worse, if I eat them at all, I crave them for weeks afterward. I have had to just cut them all out, but it's hard.

I think if you can keep the cravings controlled, that post-workout is a good time to eat your treat. I remember in the book that Lou said the only time you really want to flood your body with carbs is right after a workout. But, I'd make sure you're getting protein then, too.
