Default Results from NROFW

Just curious, how many ladies here stuck with the entire plan and what were your results? Were you happy and satisfied or just the opposite?

Also, side question, I keep reading that this isn't the plan for fat loss, if that's the case, is it better to wait until you have met your goal weight before starting a strength training plan? I don't have much to lose but I am still desperate to lose it. I consider myself 'thick' and as much as I would like to shed some pounds, I would also like to build muscle and increase my fitness level, "tone up" so to speak, which is why I chose this book in the first place. I really enjoy working out, especially the weights (cardio, not so much) and look forward to starting this plan.

What you do in the gym isn't going to matter nearly as much as what happens in the kitchen as far as fatloss goes. I was able to do NROL4W on a caloric deficit without a problem and lost a significant amount of fat. Others were unable to do the program on a deficit, as they found it too demanding to do on a deficit. Everyone is different.

BUT, if your main goal is fatloss, you are going to have to be in a deficit. How much or how intense you are able to workout during this deficit is something you are going to need to analyze.

i've stuck with the whole program, had a very small deficit in my calories and am still generally pleased with my results.
I'm much stronger than I was starting out, and have a better understanding of weight lifting, as this program made me seek out more info.
I did lose some fat. Everybody kept asking me what I was doing because they kept saying I looked awesome. I had a small deficit, very small, but as my muscle built up, pound for pound they took up less space than the fat did. Over the 6 months it took to do the program, I would say I lost about 2 dress sizes, depending on the store.
Like jane said, a bigger deficit would have helped me lose more. I just wasn't as disciplined with my eating as I should have been.

I would not wait until you are closer to your fat loss goals. Start now, so that as the fat comes off you have these gorgeous muscles revealed!

Here's a good article that might help you, from the man, himself:

Give it a try. You won't know what your results would / should / could be until you do.

I'm in stage 2. I don't have any difficulty doing hard workouts in a deficit, and I am swimming regularly in addition to lifting (and given the number of calories burned during a typical swim workout, I am eating a pretty surprising amount of food). I'm losing inches and fitting into clothes better. I don't weigh myself so I can't tell you what my body weight difference is, but I can tell my body composition is quite different as compared with when I started.

Thanks all! Ive decided I am going to start the plan on Monday.
Other than doing the workouts outlined, I will also continue to be active in order to create a deficit in my calories and still take rest days so I don't over work myself.

Im so excited to start!

I did the whole program without worrying much about my eating. Even though I did not lose weight I am very pleased with the results. Like it says in the book my shoulders are bigger and the rest of me is smaller (except my butt but for me that's a good thing).

Good luck! I love this work out. I've been lifting for many years and this book has brought so much more to my workouts. I hope for every woman to find it on their journey to becoming the goddesses that we all are.
