Default foam rolling?

What is foam rolling? I see it talked about a lot for warmups.

I did a thread search on it, and all I came up with is the references in the posts . . . not a description.

Try googling "Myofascial release techniques, foam roller".

(I like your avatar.)

Thanks!

That is really interesting. So I found the roller 1 foot, by 6 inches, for $10 through this muscle site.

Did y'all order yours? Or is there an 'in town' place where you can just go buy something like this?

I think this is something I could really use

edit: okay this preform better website has free shipping on all orders thru the 24th, so I just placed the order there Thanks everyone

Get the big one, if you are only going with one.

I bought mine locally, Sports Chalet here in AZ, I believe. Mine is about 2 feet long and it was about $25. I think they have them at Target, too.

You made a fine choice there by going through Perform Better. That's where I got mine, and the rolling's awesome.

Big fan of Perform Better for many reasons. I have the foam-wrapped PVC pipe roller and several other goodies from there.

Thanks for posting this, and all the suggestions for Perform Better. I ordered the 3' long, 6" round elite last night. I've been using a 10# medicine ball for the past couple weeks which worked great at first (when I was really really tight) but now not so much.
