Default It really works!

I was skeptical about building muscle and losing fat. I just finished my first month of the program, and lost 5 pounds of fat and gained 2 of muscle! It goes to show you can't trust the scale. I purchased a package at my gym that tests my body fat and measurments once a month. The first month I did my own thing, but I was dedicated to it. I lost 5 pounds then too, but 1 pound was muscle.

I'm so excited to find something that both works and is fun!

Oh, how I envy the newbies who can gain 1/2 lb of LBM a week....sigh.

Not to burst any bubbles - you gained Lean Body Mass (LBM) not muscle. While muscle is included in LBM, so is water, blood, bone and so forth.
Over time, yes, most changes in LBM will be muscle, but it could also be other things that go along with increased muscle.
