Default Lat pulldown alternative

I just started the NROL4W on Wednesday and I was wondering if I can do a similar exercise to the Lat pulldown that will work the same muscles. I don't have one at home and probably won't get one for awhile. Is there any other exercise I can do to take the place of it?

Thanks!

Doesn't the book suggest pullovers?

It probably does. I just wasn't sure if it worked the same group of muscles. I just looked it up on google, and it looks (at least to me) that it would work the same muscle group. I wish the book would suggest alternatives in the workout table, then I'd know which exercise would work best.

Thanks,

Chin ups! Get a chin up bar, they're cheap and pretty easy to install. You can get some bands if you can't get yourself up yet.

alternative for wide grip lat pulldown??

The book does give alternatives.

The alternative exercises for anything with a cable machine are always described right after the exercise in question in the part of the book where each exercise is described.

Thanks! I went back and actually READ the workouts and saw the alternatives. When I began the workouts, I skimmed the section to make sure I knew how to do the workout, but didn't read it! I'll try the dumbell pullovers on my next B workout which is Wednesday.
