Default NROL4W Question

I wrote a similar post a few days ago in the Training Discussion Forum, but someone suggested that I might be better off posting here about NROL4W.

1. Has anyone lost weight* (40+ pounds) on NROL4W?
2. Has anyone followed the "diet" part of the book in relation to calories (not the recipes)? I think it would be a good place to start, but I was wondering people's experiences.

Thanks

1. I didn't lose a whole bunch of weight on NROLFW. I think at the end of the experience I dropped a total of 12 lbs. But that said....

2. I didn't follow the "diet" part of it until the end of the program. I kinda had a laissez-faire attitude towards eats until around September of last year, when I began really buckling down on the food and realized that I was cheating myself out of the plan by not following its complete protocol. So when I finally got my act together, I tried complying with the recommended daily macros and calories as much as possible, and lo and behold, I started losing weight.

One caveat: I didn't really have that much to lose - the 12 lbs. lost was sufficient for me. However, I think you can achieve weight loss of 40 lbs.+ on the program, because the magic won't come from the exercises themselves, but from the nutrition front. Cassandra Forsythe provides two sets of formulas in the book, one for maintenance and the other for fat-loss, where you can figure out your daily nutrition needs and recommended calorie intake. I followed the latter, and it produced results.

I lost just over 50 pounds doing it (didn't quite finish stage 7). I wrote more about following the calorie requirements here:

I just started the program on June 1st but I have about 50 pounds to go and so far I've lost 3 pounds. I am keeping to the 40/30/30 p/c/f ratio although I'm not using the recipes in the book since I have a few wierd allergies and... well, i'm a picky eater. I feel better tho now that I'm watching what I'm eating a little better and eating more fuits and veggies. I use fitday.com (free) to track my calories and it makes things easy for me since it shows the p/c/f percentages at the bottom of my daily menu. I was eating waaaay too many carbs before and didn't realize it.
