Default Stage 7 soreness

I just started Stage 7 a couple of days ago (did the second workout today), and was much sorer yesterday than I have been since I started NRoL, especially in my legs. This surprised me, since it's a blessed reprieve from the BWM and intervals. Has anyone else experienced this? And is there anything I can do to help alleviate it, besides more stretching?

Default Foam roller

I did 10 minutes on one after my workout today. My god! It was painful. But yes, my IT band and I are well acquainted with the glories of foam rollers.

After the first session of Stage 7 I had to hold onto the railing to get down the steps from the weight room. Then my legs were *sore to the touch* for a couple days after. It was quite the wake up!

Thanks newdawn. Glad to know it's not just me. I'm terrified thinking about tomorrow, because step-ups kill me under the best of circumstances, and doing 4 sets of 15 reps (I managed to do 20 for the other exercises, but step-ups, not so much) is bound to make my quads even more unhappy than they are now.

* whimper *

Default Soreness

I just started stage 7 also. I am excited, but sore after one work-out also. A trainer I know has told her classes and me personally to drink lots of water...that helps to get the acid build up out of the muscle tissue. So, drinking lots of water the 12 hours before working out, during (which I have to refill, extending my 30 second rest period ), and after will really help. I think also, keeping your work-outs to 3 days a week like Lou suggests will allow your muscle tissue to repair while getting rid of the overload of acid. I am not an expert but have read back through areas of the book to clarify. Not to mention...I am an avid question asker... !!!
