Default ideal body weight

is there an ideal body weight that we should aim for before working on building muscle to lose inches or body fat or what ever you want to call it?

I'm not sure what you are asking. Everyone has a different weight that is "right" for them. This is dependent upon genetic makeup, how much LBM a person carries, their height, etc.

No, you can start lifting any time. It's never the wrong time to improve your body composition.

I think your question is based on people thinking you should first lose fat and then get firmer through working out. You will have an easier time losing fat if you weight train, so go ahead and start.

Definately true. I started needing to lose about 30 lbs. I've lost 7 so far, simply by doing the workouts and not eating sugar or flour.

I don't count calories, I eat when I'm hungry, I make sure I get a lot of protein.

It's amazing how quickly you'll see changes in your body, which is great, it keeps you motivated.

Between stages, it's reccommended that you rest for a week or so. I was planning on taking perhaps two weeks between stages to really focus on tweaking my diet... but we'll see. If the weight keeps coming off, I won't try to fix something that isn't broken!

Hell, if your current diet is working, don't bother. Gives you more room to tweak later.
