Default Non-lifting Cardio Days and Whey Protein

In NROL4W they say you can incorporate some days of cardio when you don't lift weights. Should I eat back those calories that I burn or should I not? Should I drink a protein shake after aerobic exercise? Also, I have women's whey protein (Aria), but should I buy "regular"/"men's" whey protein? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks!

Protein powder is protein powder -- there isn't a 'women's' protein and a 'men's' protein. Protein is protein.

If you are following the nutritional guidelines in NROL4W, you don't "eat back" calories.

Have a protein shake if you want. I have one every day, whether I exercise or not just because it helps me get my protein level where I want it to be.

I think it says women's because there's less protein in it per serving. I guess I'll finish what I have and get the other stuff so I can get in more protein. Thanks for the response!

I always take 1 scoop of protein powder everyday in the morning whether I workout or not, but during workout days I take 1 scoop pre-workout and 1 scoop post -workout and make sure that the rest of my meals are high in protein but with good combo of carbohydratres and fats.

I try to target a macronutrient ratio of 40% carbs, 30%-40% protein and 20-30% fat regardless of whether I'm lifting or not. On non-lifting days I eat a lower number of calories, whether I'm doing cardio or not (which I usually do). If I need help getting to my target protein level for the day, I'll have a shake.
