Default Grip Strength Issues

I'm still in Stage 1 and I've increased the weight on my deadlifts considerably. I find that my forearms are fatigued from the deadlifts by the time I get to the alternating lunges. Today I could barely finish my sets and had to switch to a bar for the last four reps of my second set. I actually liked using the bar. Does anyone use the bar exclusively for the alternating lunges? Thanks!

I know that some probably have. I can't get used to doing them with a barbell, but I wouldn't see any problem with using one instead of dumbbells. It will likely shift your center of gravity, but not sure that it matters.

What a great idea! I have the same trouble and now I can move past the limit in my grip strength. I know the length of the bar can make balance an issue, but I'm curious now to see how I can do.

Thanks!
