Default Resting between workouts

Hi, I'm new to the forums. I had a question about the rest day/s in between workouts. Does anyone feel they need more than 1 day to recover? I worked out today around 10:30 and felt like I was going to almost pass out before i was done. I am not new to lifting or to lifting heavy since i used to be a fitness trainer and have been lifting for a long time.

Maybe the culprit could be that I didn't eat enough before I went. I had 2 crackers with p.butter on them at like 8 am and then a mini protein bar at 9am- then worked out at 10:30.

Thanks

Sometimes I do take more than a day off. But, since he says to do the workout 2 or 3 times a week, there is no problem with taking more than one day off at a time.
