Cool Transition into NROLFW

Hey, guys/girls!
I just finished up with Eric Cressey's Max Strength program. I really enjoyed the workouts, found them pretty challenging, and noticed some decent strength gains by the end. I picked up the New Rules of Lifting for Women a couple weeks and was going to jump into that program now that I've finished with Cressey's book, but I'm wondering if jumping into Stage 1 of NROL may be a bit of a step backwards. For instance, this stage calls for me to begin with 2 sets/15 reps of 5 different exercises: squat, push-up, row, step-up, and a prone jackknife.
My goal at this point is to try to maintain as much strength as possible while getting a little more "lean" (by cleaning up my diet a bit, as I have been a little lax lately). Looking at this book, it appears that as the stages progress, the number of reps drops and the exercises become more varied. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on whether I should start this program at the beginning, or maybe jump into Stage 2 or 3 (of 4 stages).
Thanks -- I appreciate any help in advance!!

I would start at the beginning. I was doing the original NROL before I started NROL4W.

I'm with Jane, I'd start at the beginning. Just make sure that the weights you're picking are hard enough that you would struggle for the 16th rep.
