Thumbs up first workout done - wow i'm impressed!

Hi all. I've got about 13lbs to lose after being lazy for the last year or so. I cleaned up my "diet" about 3 weeks ago, which was a breeze since I already know exactly what to do (as per my trusty copy of BFFM). I've already lost about 6lbs just through clean eating. (Truth be known, the scale doesn't mean much to me, what I really want is my jeans to become too loose!)

Two nights ago I bought NROLFW on a whim while browsing all the weight lifting books at our local bookstore. It looked like a winner compared to all the rest. What sold me was the workout plan (and those names on the front cover!).

After reading the entire book (love Lou's humor!!) and wrapping my head around the workout plan, I got in my first just a short while ago. I had planned on doing a "burst" training session right after, but by the end I already felt like I had done plenty and not only couldn't but didn't really need to.

What I find hard to wrap my head around is that I won't have to work out an hour a day, 6 days a week, like I used to. No wonder I could only keep that up for 6 months at a time and then crash.

Can't wait to see what NROLFW does for my body!!!!

You'll have plenty of opportunities to complete your "burst" training sessions in NROL4W.

Thanks to you both, and yes I'm sure I'll be able to add HIIT/burst training soon enough. Perhaps that's why interval training is saved for Stages 2 and on. I need to build up endurance first!
