Smile Another Newbie

I started NRoL4W last week and finished my 4th workout yesterday. I am 63 with 32% body fat. Two years ago, I was 61 with 32% body fat, so haven't gotten anywhere with what I have been doing except keep my body fat from going up, which is actually something.

Type 2 diabetes and heart disease are issues in my family, so reducing body fat down to 25% would be a big step in the right direction. Anyway, it is time to try something new.

I like the workouts and am committed to finishing the 6-month program while eating clean. I am sore from the workouts, so am definitely getting worked in new ways!

I am enjoying the workouts very much. I have been slowly upping the weights each time. I have the Pace weights, so can do it in 1-pound increments if necessary. I can tell by the soreness that my muscles haven't been worked this way for a while.

I have been using DVD workouts for several years and like the change of working on my own at my pace. It is easier to concentrate on form; also to systematically increase the weight I am using. I certainly feel good in spite of the soreness.
