Default Hi, from Michigan!!!

I bought NROL for Women a couple of months ago, and I just found this forum. I wanted to introduce myself and say hello. My name is Wendy, I live in Jackson, MI, single mom of two teenagers. I've been working out pretty much all of my adult life. I like finding new programs to do so I don't get bored. I'm enjoying the workouts in this book and look forward to chatting with you here.

Thank you! I've been sore all day from starting phase 2 yesterday. Looking forward to workout B tomorrow. I wonder if there are others from Michigan on the forum...

Hey there! I actually live in Concord (southwest corner of Jackson county). We go to Coldwater a LOT for volleyball tournaments and basketball games for my teenagers.

Default nice to meet you!

Yeah Coldwater is nothing exciting, but then you understand that being from a small town yourself. I actually live like a block from the High School. I just received my New Rules of Lifting for Women on Saturday, read through it and am going to start in on Monday. I am so excited to have found this program. I actually found it on the livestrong/daily plate website where I log all of my calories. There is quite a support group with very encouraging women on there if you have never checked it out. Where are you at in the program? Have you had positive transformations yet? I am going on vacation to Jamaica in July and should have the first & second stage done by then. Hoping to see at least a small difference in my physique by then. It's great to meet someone so close in Michigan that is enthusiastic about being healthy as I am. Who knows maybe our pathes with cross some day! Again nice to meet you! ~Dawn

I'm in the middle of stage 2. Yes, I've seen differences that I like. Although, in trying to get the amount of protein the book suggests, I've ended up consuming more calories than usual and I've put on about 3 pounds, which is a bit discouraging since I want to loose 10 or so. I'm learning how to adjust and trying to rearrange the combination of food for protein content and calorie count so that I can turn the scale back in the direction I'm looking for, lol.

I think that if you're consistent with the workout plan, you'll definitely see improvement in time for your Jamaica trip. Good luck to you. (Wish I were going to Jamaica! )
