Default How long before you lose water retention?

I am two weeks into State 1. I have already added HIIT two days a week also. Can somebody tell me how long it took them to lose this water weight due to gylcogan storage or will that always be there? Also, how long did it take for you to start seeing some fat loss?

My experience has been that whenever I start a new, or ramp my current workout in any way I have a small weight gain that can last from a couple weeks to even a month. It's well worth it in the long run though. Can't talk to fat loss since I'm not following the diet in the book except to add protein where I can.

the act of lifting itself causes water retention from the inflammation. so just chill out about it

It depends on your water intake, too. Make sure to get your water intake right to try to get the water retention under control.

How would one determine what would be the correct amount of water intake?

If your pee is yellow, you aren't drinking enough.

But is it a permanent thing, or only when you start out with a new heavy-lifting routine?

I have noticed that since I started NROLFW a month ago, my pants and skirts are tighter around the thighs. This doesn't make much sense to me, and needless to say, I'm not happy and hope that it is temporary!

I think it's permanent, but remember, as you lose fat, you'll lose inches even though the water retention will still be there. I personally know that when I take a rest week, I feel almost immediately smaller because my muscles stop retaining water (I think that's how it works, I dunno :p)

Funny you should mention this! I started a new multivitamin with more B in it and when my pee was neon my roommates and I had a good laugh looking up what it could mean online! We found this answer, but it made me laugh

As far as water retention, I find drinking a mug or two of green tea along with a lot of water during the day really helps me. And I can't really speak to how long it takes to see fat loss since I began NROL4W while already losing fat. But I can say that fat loss in general is a lot of trial and error, mostly in the diet area!
