Default stage 2 hiit?

do i need to do hiit on my lifting days? i am starting stage 2 work out b. I take my son with me to the gym and really try to stay as short as possible and this work out is about an hour so i am not gona be able to fit it in that day. do you think there is a reason it done this way? tia

Probably the reason it's done that way is for the maximum metabolic and muscular "disturbance". I've heard of others doing hiit in the evening or on another day, and have done it myself. I think doing the program as it is written is best, but if you have to change it, it's better to do it later than not at all!

I asked the same thing and got the same response when I started stage 2. I had been doing HIIT 3X per week in the morning and lifting 3X evenings until stage 2 started. I bit the bullet and am doing HIIT after both 2A & 2B workouts, because I couldn't find a more suitable place (not 2 days in a row) for more HIIT AND do HIIT after B.

I do think I remember reading that some others were doing their HIIT on non-lift days instead of after B only.
