That is all that is called for. If you want to do extra....see the "extra stuff to do" section.

Hi - in the latter part of stage one, I did HIIT 3x per week on non-lift mornings - lifting evenings. That worked well. When I added hiit after workout B in stage 2 - it was hard to get another session in the mornings because of rest timing. So, I am now doing HIIT after every lifting workout in the evenings. It seems to be working well, except it is hard to get that HIIT in after a workout!

Stage 2 makes it hard for that... timing wise. If you do it after B, then the next day is too soon as you are not supposed to do HIIT 2 days in a row. Then the next is lift day A - then the next day is before the B workout.... So that is why I just do HIIT after both workouts.

I was hesitant to change the way the book had it after B just in case it had "secret" metabolic benefits! lol

I do mine on a treadmill, but I think you can use anything - even a jumprope. It is soooo cold here, so it is not worth getting all dressed to do outside for 15 minutes. HIIT is much more do-able for me than steady state, as I would find steady-state extremely boring!!

No excuse not to do HIIT -- even in inclement weather. I did it outside on my patio with jumping jacks and walking in place for recovery on Sunday. Last weekend I was in a semi-empty parking lot and ran as fast as I could, then walked for recovery.

Nice idea about the jumping jacks, i think you could also do it with the "speed skater", its a great exercise and you don't need a bosu ball to do it, just touch the front of your foot with your fingers, i feel it works great on the abs.
