Default Weighing Food

Hello,

I have a food scale and I meticulously weigh everything I eat. My question involves weighing liquids. I know that fluid ounces are a measure of volume where ounces/grams are a measure of weight. So is there a way to measure a portion of milk, for example, accurately on the food scale? Would an 8 oz. serving be 8 fluid ounces or 8 ounces? And how do I convert if the serving size on the label is given in milliliters?

I recently began paying attention to macro ratios and often milk is the way I get my protein without bringing up the fat. I just want to make sure I'm measuring correctly before relying to heavily on that!

Thanks!

Liquids are just measured by volume. You don't weigh them. An 8 ounce serving would be 8 fluid ounces. A teaspoon is a teaspoon. You can look up conversions of milliliters (or cubic centimeters, same thing) to ounces online or simply get a metric measuring device.
as a quick conversion, 1 ounce = 0.02957353 liters, which is then 29.57353ml

No, you're not gonna get super precise, but most things you're measuring in ounces will be ok give or take a small margin of error as their cals aren't huge per ounce. Things that are high caloric value, often have a gram amount as well, or are measured in something smaller thereby making your measuring more precise.
