Default Questions about the program

Hi, I'm a 30 year old mom of a 2 year old who is trying to lose the last 10 baby pounds, plus the 30 I never lost before the baby. I'm hoping to have another baby in the next year and a half or so. I want to get fit now and stay that way. If I were to complete the 6 month program now, how would the muscle that I build be effected by 9 months of (probably) less activity? Could I maintain the muscle without heavy lifting? Also, what would I need at home to start the program? I have a gym membership, but I have a difficult time getting there.
Thanks!
Tara

Hi Tara,
I am a 30 yr old mom of a one year old as well, and trying to lose about 10-15lbs myself. I want to get pregnant in about a year as well, so this is a good question. I think you can probably maintain the muscle doing some weight training, even if not as vigorous. I was doing squats and lunges all the way until I was too big and then continued using my own bodyweight (around 7-8 mos) so I wouldnt worry about that.

As for equipment, Dick's sporting goods has a nice bench and pulley system we bought for under $200.00. I couldnt find it online, but do go check it out. We also have dumbells, a swiss ball, and a mat since our garage floor is dirty. That is really all you need.

If you want to be accountability buddies, let me know. I need someone to help me stay motivated. PM me if interested!

Good luck!

If you were to do them exactly as written you'd probably need a barbell + weights, dumbbells, a bench, a squat/power rack, and possibly pull-up/chin-up bars and a cable machine. The last being the more difficult items for which you can find substitutes.
