Smile Arnold the Mouse -- A Funny Story

We have a small kitchen so I store our unopened overflow food in the basement on some shelves. On Monday I noticed one of the bags had a hole in it, and also the bag next to it.....then I saw a couple mouse droppings...Rats! I have a mouse! I thought.

But get this--the mouse chose not to delve into the bags of chips, cookies or boxes of cereal that are there. No, No, No......the mouse opened the bags of chocolate and vanilla PROTEIN POWDER! And ONLY those bags; nothing else was touched.

This mouse must be on the NROL4Mice program. Doing little rodent reps of Rodentian deadlifts. Practicing furry front squats with a petite push press. Oh yes, and killing those prone jackknifes on a ping pong ball. I can see it now......

Epilogue--I set sticky traps using as bait (what else?), vanilla protein powder! Caught the little bugger on the first night. And, I must say, for a mouse, he has the best muscle definition I ever saw!

sticky tracks are very inhumane. Consider using snap traps or live traps.

Funny story.

I don't know much about traps as we have cats, the best option for clearing your home of pesky rodents. Okay, they mainly just chase bugs. Tonight they're hunting a moth that snuck in. In the end the moth will win, unless it goes close enough to somewhere they can reach the ceiling. Right now it's just too funny watching them standing on the tables, sitting on their back feet, waving their paws in the air.

Oh, PLEASE don't use sticky traps! They're so awful.

My Malamutes caught a big old rat (outside thankfully) one day. I don't think I have to worry much about mice! Their favorite treat is yogurt. I get a big container every week, a scoop for each of them and one in my protein shake every morning.
