Default to rest today or not?

I am debating whether to do a workout today or rest. I havent lifted New Rules since last Tuesday. Ive been busy with the programs I teach in the gym, as we have some new launches coming up.
Last Friday and Sunday we ran through Group Power (like bodypump) and I really increased my weights and pushed myself.
Yesterday I taught a yoga class that has got my legs pretty tired.
I started jogging again this week.

Basically,I am really tired. My legs are sore, and I am plain beat. Plus not sleeping as much as I like due to baby's new bowel movement pattern at
11pm!

But I really dont like skipping workouts............so, what should I do. Rest today, or lift? (probably answered my own question

You've pretty much answered your own question. I'm pretty sure your lifts will suffer from everything you've mentioned, so skip a day.

I think you should stop doing New Rules and instead work just a few important lifts on a day when you're already working all those classes. Consolidate your workouts so you have fewer days of HARD work and more days of rest.

With all that stuff you're doing, you don't need much more. 15-20 minutes, twice a week, with the weights will take care of it.

Use weights that are heavier than bodypump and do these two workouts in an A/B pattern. Do them in a circuit to save time if you can.

A, 3x5
Deadlift or a variation
Pushups or DB Bench
Seated Cable Rows

B, 3x5
DB Reverse Lunge
DB Military Press
Chinups or Pulldowns

Listen to your body. You don't need us to tell you that

Thanks, sometimes I just need others to tell me so I feel better. i watch the bodybuilders in my gym lifting everyday, and even when they are sick, and it makes me doubt my decisions.

But you know what's right... And most bodybuilders (at least the ones I talk to) admit that bodybuilding isn't necessarily about being HEALTHY. In fact, when they're cutting for a show, it can be one of the least healthy things you can do to your body

Yeah but are you also watching them do crazy stuff like lifting on stability balls, etc.? Just because they do something doesn't make it right or smart...

oh, and go read Shelia's article--it's perfect for your question.
