That's awesome Wendy. I'll be very interested to hear how you like their online coaching. I think this is a great move. PN has collected a great team of professionals. I think you'll really make some excellent progress.

thanks ginger!

thanks lisa, it means a lot to me that you approve! I really value your knowledge. can you imagine the combination of personal training with you and this new PN? too bad I am not in alabama....

I have all of the PN material, and I really agree with a lot of it. this online coaching will build in the accountability that I need, and the customization that I need given that my long run next sat is now up to 11 miles. marathon season is upon me, and I really need some expert help in designing a way to fuel my body, recover appropriately, and still make some progress toward decreasing bodyfat.

I got the email for that yesterday & considered it but decided not to do it... the videos & content sound pretty cool, though. I assume you'll be posting about your experiences & lessons learned in your log?

Wow! That went fast. I like that they limited the number of participants. At some point, the coaches wouldn't be able to give you enough attention if there were any more participants. I excited to see how you progress!

Hehehe, funny.

Don't waste anymore money on supplements or workout programs until you've bought the book the entire ad piece leads to.

Why does the post by Lisa~ not seem to coincide with the OP?

Oh boy, some real wonky server problems going on. The post I was responding to was in the training forum, not the NROL4W forum.

The OP I was responding to was a link to a Will Brink book.

Bodybuilding Revealed : Supplements - Muscle Building Nutrition - Workouts Explained

I can't even remember who asked about it else I'd look it up.

As you were, Wendy.

Wow, Wendy. I don't think I've ever been an inspiration for anyone (if you want to call it that!). It's a nice feeling!

I know you will do great!

And, being back is just one of the steps I am taking to try and get myself back into a routine...hoping it helps in some small way.

Hi. I've prepared and eaten 99% of the recipes in the Precision Nutrition "Gourmet Nutrition" cookbook. At least you'll know that the food will be delicious!

the server really is wonky-this thread will completely disappear then reappear. I have an exercise physiologist at my hospital that will be doing skin calipers every two weeks during my 16 week program. I am going for it!

wow! that is unreal. I know they have been running a wait list for a year at least for their private coaching, which is $350 per month.

I have lined up an exercise physiologist at my hospital who will do my body comp (calipers) every two weeks which is required by the program. I know that there are more accurate measures, but at least I will be able to track the changes--they have a cool tool called results tracker.

at the end of the 16 weeks, I am actually going to treat myself to a DEXA scan, which is the most accurate.

Congrats fengshway! It looks like a fantastic opportunity for anyone ready "step up" like you are. I can't wait to follow your progress! What a treat!!

I bought PN and just received it a few days ago. I have to say I am completely blown away by it and the website for members. As you could tell from the info you linked to for the coaching for women JB is on the ball! Talk about thorough and generous!

Good for you giving yourself this gift fengshway. You are an inspiration! I wish you HUGE success!!!!

So I read this and didn't see what is the cost of this program? It is very cool from what I can read.

The only thing I find annoying is that it isn't for athletes or bbers but yet all the people they post pictures of are figure models or athletes to say the least.

I will wait for the special programs I guess....

thanks bratt!! I agree, JB is a genius way way ahead of his time. his nutrient timing principles for athletes are spot on, I used them in part to fuel for my last marathon and would have had a flawless race, but for the excessive heat and race cancellation in chicago!!!!

karla, I talked to them about the athlete issue before I ever committed to the program--the way I work out is the way they expect all of their clients to work out. athlete by their definition means someone who makes their living at their sport, or who is competing on a national level. I agree though, some of the after pics are really ripped, but some of them look really reasonable and at a level of bodyfat that I think I can maintain.

I emailed one of their dieticians, and he assured me that because the number of clients are limited, they will be able to work with me individually to help me tweak the general program so that my long runs are appropriately fueled, and I have enough carbs to recover.

the program requires an unbelievably high level of accountability. calipers and measurements every two weeks, pics monthly. there is all of this web based learning and assignments.

the fee was $99 to hold your spot, then $99 per month for 16 weeks. I think it is a total steal at this price. so far, they have been exceptionally attentive to me.

john berardi has an international reputation regarding his work with athletes and performance nutrition.

he believes that achieving a lean body is really about learning new skill sets, bit by bit. the other thing I love about his approach is his love for food. I have his gourmet nutrition book, and the food is unreal! there is always a happy medium between achieving the body you want, and still eating yummmy delicious food.
