Thumbs up DeLurking, Thanks and Progress Report

Hello everyone! First a great big thank you to everyone here for your extreme generosity! What a fantastic resource!!! I started lurking here many months ago and it was a great help for when I started NROL4W on April 1st. Because of what I read here regarding women under estimating weight in the beginning I purposely spent a day finding out the maximum weights I could use as well as my one rep maximum for the big lifts so I would have another means of measuring progress.

I added in the extra workouts the book says you can if you are brand new to lifting so it ended up being 24 workouts total over 2 months. I have to say I've loved every minute so far.

I too have been struggling with a lack of weight loss! Yet I know there has been fat loss and muscle gain which matters more! I've ordered Precision Nutrition but first I will be trying Joel Marion's Cheat to Lose Diet (starting on Sunday). I had previously lost 50 pounds on what in hind sight was a bit of an extreme bodybuilder cutting type diet. I think I just stayed on it too long. Tried TNT. Didn't work for me. Cheat to Lose allows carbs and I feel a million times better mentally and emotionally with carbs.

I have a blog BRATTLAND where I've been posting my progress along with some other stuff. I just posted an end of Stage 1 progress report including my AMRAP numbers. I'll be re-testing my 1RM for squat and deadlift tomorrow and will be adding that. I tested them 1 month in and was amazed at how much stronger I was! Those results are posted there too.

Thanks again for sharing your journey. I bet there are even more lurkers out there who may never come forward. You are setting a fantastic example!

See you around now that I'm "out"

Default Thanks for Looking

Hey Ladies! Thanks for taking the time to check out my blog. It's pretty new and may be lacking in the set up. Maybe even content? If you find it confusing please let me know. Feedback welcome!

I re-tested my 1RM. I wish they had suggested doing this in the book. It really is motivating. Mind you testing a 1RM when you've never lifted before can be not so good an idea! I could barely move for 5 or 6 days after that very first time. LOL

Here's my numbers:

DEADLIFT
April 115 lbs ~ May 155 lbs ~ June 185 lbs
SQUAT
April 105 lbs ~ May 135 lbs ~ June 165 lbs

Remember, I did stage 1 for longer than most people. 2 months to be exact. Gosh I love this program!

I love heavy lifting so much I'm going to check out a Powerlifting comp in a couple of weeks.

Anyways, thanks again ladies!

WOW! Your numbers are awesome - good luck with the comp! Although I've started a log here, I often feel like more of a lurker - and totally agree with the thanks you have offered the more avid posters. This is a great resource! I just wanted to add my own thanks and congratulate you on your 1RM gains!
