Question When do you do a Calorie Adjustment?

How often should calorie intake be adjusted?

Every ten pounds ? Every 20?

I have lost my first ten pounds, and weigh 150 lbs. and was wondering if I should now adjust my calorie intake?

Thanks!

Look at what your progress is, what the formula tells you. If you progress is slowing, if the the formula comes up with a significantly different number, then look at changing.

I tend to every 10 or so. But again, if activity went up or down, it's also time to look into it as well.

Default When progress stalls

If it ain't broke don't fix it! In other words don't change anything that is working!!! When it stops working make an adjustment. Congrats on your success by the way!

Well, to an extent, yes... but then you also spend that time not going anywhere versus paying attention and changing early enough to keep the ball rolling.

Thumbs up

Sound advice from both of you!

I guess I will have to do some experimentation to see which of your techniques works for me.

Thanks again!
