I injured my right wrist and I think it was the "T" portion of YWTL that did it. That was 2 months ago and it's still bothersome. I went to an ortho and got a special wrist brace that I wear off and on. Nothing broken, just a strain. Next step for me is cortisone, but I am hoping not to have to do it. I just have been limiting myself on exercises that stress my wrist.

Jane, I hope you can avoid the cortisone. That's SO not fun. I've had it in many joints and the smaller the joint, the more the pain. ick.

Shari, I hope you can find some help. I'd probably go to an ortho just to be sure that you don't have a stress fracture or a strain or something. You don't want to keep pushing through the pain only to do more injury to yourself, ya know?

I did buy a wrist brace, and the doctor laughed when she saw it. What she gave me is nothing that I saw in the store. It was pretty expensive, but insurance paid for it.

All this talk of wrist pain reminds me of the tendinitis I had in my right "shooting" wrist during my senior year of high school. It still comes and goes - and the only way to treat it is to not use it. So annoying!

Now of course I have tendinitis in in my feet which gets aggravated when I run at high speeds...

Question

Jane
what were there any specific excersises that you stayed away from?
I bought a wrist brace for now, I couldnt get in before the holidays to the ortho.

I am wondering if I should just do leg with machines and cardio for awhile

I have no problems with pushups. I just now am able to do UH pulldowns. OH not a big problem, but can still feel it. Can to presses fine, too. I stayed away from the YWTL and the Cuban Snatch. Also, the DB snatch on that arm. It all depends what exercises cause you discomfort. You'll figure it out. It's been well over 2 months for me and I am still babying it.
