Yes, I can do both pull-ups & chin-ups & I haven't started the program yet. Several months ago I decided I wanted to do chin-ups, & worked up the strength solely with body rows on the Smith machine.
My chin-up sets usually look like this: 8-10 reps, 30-60 secs rest, followed by 3-4 sets of 5-8 reps.
4 weeks ago I started working on pull-ups & my
PR is currently 7 consecutive, followed by another set or two of 2-3 reps.
I do my best to strictly use my arms/upper back for the work, leaving my legs are limp/relaxed as possible. They're definitely one of my favorite exercises!
