Default Where do you put your foot on the static lunge (rear foot elevated)?

Is the bench an ok height? I use the bench for step ups also, the step aerobics class boxes are hard to get to in my gym.

my gym doesn't have aerobics class boxes, I am jealous. I use a step and four or five risers each side

The book shows a step with one riser. You can use the bench for the BSS's.

Thanks Miss Jane... that helps.

So it the difference between the two only the height of the elevated foot? Is there also a difference in foot placement. I know this has been discussed before, but I'm confused that there are two such similar exercises which such distict names in the same stage.

With the static lunge, the bottom of your foot is on the step, so there is some leverage. With BSS, the TOP of your foot is on the bench, so there is very little leverage there.
