Yeah, it really is. I don't think any of the other stages left me feeling as physically depleted as these ones. Jane, are you doing any HIIT with these workouts? I know it doesn't say to, but it seems like a logical thing to do in the interest of cutting...

I don't know. They are so metabolically challenging with the high reps and short rest periods, I just don't know if I can do it. I also wanted to tack on some planks and crunches at the end and don't know if that will happen, either! Wowee.

Yeah, after finishing the workouts I haven't felt like I am physically able to do any kind of running. I've been doing HIIT on off days sometimes, though.
I did my fourth stage 7 workout today and I'm starting to feel like I'm losing a little bit of strength. Maybe I was just extra tired today, but it seems to get harder and harder to eke out those 15 reps on some of the exercises, specifically the DB shoulder presses and step ups. I was initially going to try two rounds of stage 7, but I'm thinking after I finish this one round I'm going to move on to NROL.

MG, that's what I am going to do.....I was going to go thru twice, but have decided to just do once. Then, I'm going back to NROL and doing whatever is recommended for "The Eternal Beginner" after the completion of FLIII (which is pretty similar to Stage 7). I'm thinking it's Hypertrophy. I've already done FLI and FLII.

I'm planning to skip stage 6 and start stage 7 next week. Did you guys drop your calories or make nutrition changes to make this a proper cutting phase? I need to shed some fat!

I'm doing TNT, so I am just keeping on with what I've been doing. I've lost over 18 pounds of fat since January, so no need to change up anything now.

Two questions:
(1) What is TNT?
(2) I was going to post about this separately, but as there's already a Stage 7 thread ... he says in the intro to Stage 7 that you start each workout with either "squats, a superset of bench presses and rows, or deadlifts", but the workout charts show the bench presses and rows as alternating sets. So which is it - supersets or alternating? I.e., are you resting between the presses and rows?
I'm about to start Stage 5, but then plan to skip ahead to Stage 7. I hadn't planned to skip originally, but I have a long vacation at the end of June/early July so I can't finish Stages 5 & 6 by then anyway and I'd like to see some more substantial fat loss before I go. I figure I'll pick up where I left off when I get back (i.e., with Stage 6, then onto 7 again).

1. TNT is a nutritional plan and book. See diet/nutrition forum or link to book on right sidebar of forum.
2. Whenever you see supersets in NROL4W, they are actually alternating sets with the prescribed rest in between each set.

Jane, if I recall correctly (and you're looking for more of the same umm... work effort) NROL's Fat Loss programs would fit the bill, particularly FL3.

No thanks, Tom! At least not for right now. Having done FLI and FLII, and now NROL4W Stage 7....I think I'll move into Hypertrophy instead from NROL.

I just did S7W1 this morning. It kicked my butt. Actually, I feel a little nauseous.
Good times.

Apparently the nausea is a good thing. Its a sign of metabolic disturbance. Though I don't remember where I heard that.

Really? Because the BW Matrix makes me feel like I'm going to toss my cookies. Must be working!

Now you make it sound like something to look forward to! lol
The only thing that makes me feel this way is prone cobra - and it's not even challenging anymore! Don't find it particulary disturbing but totally hate the feeling. Not a sign of a good workout for me for sure!
