Default Fitday question??

Hey Ladies,

I am starting week 4 of the NROLW and loving it! I starting calculating my eats a couple days ago and I know that a lot of you have more experience than I with this program. What is the ratio I should be aiming for? I am usually ending up with more protein than anything else, but should I be following a certain formula to see the best results??

It all depends on your body. If you're into body-typing, Dr. John Berardi laid out these numbers:

Ectomorphs - 55% carbs/25% protein/20% fat
Mesomorphs - 40% carbs/30% protein/30% fat
Endomorphs - 25% carbs/35% protein/40% fat

But those are all just ballpark numbers. You should experiment and find what works for you.

I think I'm somewhere between a Mesomorph and an Endomorph. I find I tolerate carbs poorly and fat/protein very well, so I often eat between 40/30/30 or if I'm having a lot of cravings, something like 20/40/40. All that fat and protein keep me full and I end up eating a lot less on those days. If I eat too many carbs, it's like I can't stop being hungry.

Some people here also do carb cycling, which is (from what I understand) a pretty great way to "trick" your body into letting go of fat. I haven't formally tried it, but I know a lot of people on the boards have had success with it.
