I read that they practiced and shot that over and over, but it was not video cuts - they really did all of it! Love that video!

I love that video too. And it is done in one shot, so there's no editing. I'm sure they practiced a lot, too, but I imagine that there's someone off camera shouting cues at them, since all the music is dubbed over. Otherwise, that's a lot of crap to remember!

I listen to Le Tigre when I lift/run. That's it -- it doesn't get old for me. Maybe because I don't tend to listen to them when I'm not working out. If I'm not expending energy their music makes me feel somewhat agitated.

I only really want to listen to powerful women when I'm working out and Ani isn't going to do it -- she's got more of a washing-the-dishes kind of vibe.

I'm a huge fan of electronic music, so for me my favs got to be:
Daft Punk's live album
Girl Talk's Night Ripper (lot's of profanity in this one, but guaranteed to get you moving!)

I agree - I put either them or Green Day on when I'm not feeling like working out, instantly gets me into gear! And I would add:
Disturbed
The Kinks
Queen
Bouncing Souls
The Peacocks (great for cardio!)
Any 1970s disco
Any 1980s hair band
I even have Engelbert Humberdink's "Up, Up, and Away" in one of my cardio playlists.

Rush--that's it. I have everything they have ever released, and put my faves mix on my ipod. I listen when I'm doing HIIT, can't listen to music when I'm lifting, it distracts me.

I like to work out to electronic music, so I usually use Podrunner podcasts from djsteveboy.com . He has them in different bpm, so I pick a speed that fits my mood for the day.
