Ginger, I like "You are the One" and "Le Disko", but I haven't heard everything on their latest release. I'll bet the song you have is "Rainy Monday".

Both of those are on my XL run playlist!
Nobody has mentioned 'ol Billy Idol. He popped in my earbuds last night and truly inspired my run. Is that sad?

Not sad at all! Of course, I was lifting weights while listening to the Monkees the other day....

I like those as well. My favorite on the album is "Jackie Will Save Me". It's great for the intense part of intervals, for the body matrix, for step ups, and for those days when the sun comes out and you're driving down a long stretch of road with the windows rolled down, your sunglasses on, and your hair tied back.

For any Jane's Addiction fans....check out Perry Ferrells Satellite Dance Party. The song "Wish Upon a Dog Star" in particular gets me through planks and that bloody matrix! Check it out!
And, DM, I'm downloading Jackie

Anything Rage Against the Machine works for me for lifting. Not so much cardio for some reason.
"American Woman" - Lenny Kravitz's cover
"Royal Station 4/16" and some other live fast stuff by Melissa Etheridge
I also find these songs motiving though they are more along the lines of soft-core porn - which inspires me!
Nickelback - Animals, Figured You Out
Nine Inch Nails - Closer
Hoobastank - Inside of You
Either cardio or lifting. I need to motivation to get through the mind numbing cardio. For lifting it just energizes me.

:-O !!!! I need to bookmark that! I'm on a self-imposed spending hiatus until this summer but that is CUTE! Thanks for posting it. It'll look great on my shoulders.
What did you think of the song? Hopefully you don't hate it.

I am loooooving these playlists!! It is so nice to see some ladies with taste. The other board I visit has no clue. Anywho..here are my favorites for running:
Vampire Weekend-"A Punk" (The whole album is infectious)
Pearl Jam-"Brain of J."
Kings of Leon-"My Party" (These guys are the real deal..loooove em!)
Bloc Party-"Modern Love"
Rogue Wave-"Lake Michigan"
Petty-"Running Down a Dream"
Foo Fighters-"All My Life"
Queens of the Stoneage-"Go with the Flow''
Pepper-"Back Home" (This band really sucks live, but I love this album)
Spoon-"Underdog"
Killers-"Bones"
For lifting, I pretty much listen to the same type of music, with an emphasis on Pearl Jam. I am sifting through the new Raconteurs and I loooove Kings of Leon. I will definately be checking out some of the suggestions given by you all. Thanks!
