Default Here I go...(newbie)

Hey guys. I've been lurking here for awhile and decided to post. I made a thread on another board here regarding my back issues, but it wasn't an official introduction.

I just wanted to tell you guys how inspirational ya'll are. Your stories and opinions have really given me the jumpstart to RE-start my fitness routine. I'm getting the book today and am looking forward to completely changing my exercise routine. I've focused on only posture and weight loss for a long time. Unfortunately, I've gone through many bouts of "nothing is going to work" or "forget this. i want a gallon of ice cream" and gained weight back and totally erased any progress I've made.

I've been eating better a lot lately and it's giving me more motivation to get back to the gym religiously. I used to go every day. It got down to barely twice a week. Now I'm slowly working up again and I'm feeling great. If any of you have seen the horror movie, "The Descent", you'll know what my motivation is. Those girls look great and probably feel amazing.

My goals are weight loss, better posture, and improving my strength as much as possible. After two back surgeries for scoliosis and a lack of exercise after each surgery, I've become extremely weak. I've basically let myself go. It's hard for me to stand up from sitting down or laying down because I have NO CORE STRENGTH whatsoever!!!

So yeah. I just wanted to say hi and all that jazz~!

Welcome! I'm fairly new, too! I wanted a ST program that was laid out for me and a friend (Hi, DanceDiva!!!) told me about New Rules of Lifting for Women, so I decided to give it a try. I'm about halfway through Stage 1. Pauline

Hello! I am about half-way through Stage 1! BTW - is there anyone else out there from the UK? The book's not out here yet so I had to order my copy from Amazon's US site!

Hey guys! Thanks for your support. Going to spend my days off this this weekend learning the program, setting up a log, getting some better groceries, and of course, working out!
