You're not paying for the quality of the binding, you're paying for Alwyn's expertise in program design and Rachel's expertise in nutrition.

Giving it away is intellectual piracy.

I could just summarize, or list the workouts....because you are right, you pay a bunch for some copied sheets that are spiral bound together....no biggie really and 1/2 of it, like most books, is the explanations/pics of exercises.....

Just a suggestion...I will do it if it's ok and if it will be helpful to anyone??

I'm not sure that is quite right. Anyone who would like some spiral bound paper can pay-pal me $20 and I will get it right out.

I'm guessing most people wouldn't find blank spiral bound paper to be too helpful to their fat loss goals though, so presumably the intellectual property has some value as well.

Bytsi, I'd say similar information, not exactly the same, but written in Alwyn's own special way! The programs are different and I really think would be just great following NROLW. It's what Alwyn actually uses at his gym in training his clients from what I recall. And it has a much greater emphasis on interval training and fat loss.

The nutrition section there is written by his wife, Rachel. Also very good.

I think it's well worth it.

I'm curious about Afterburn 2. I'd love to hear what anyone thinks about this one and how it compares to the first.

How does the calorie recommendation in Afterburn compare to NROL4W? Similar? Less calories? More calories?

I'm in week 3 of NROLFW but after reading Alwyn's blog today and my main goal being fat loss I'm wondering if I should order Afterburn and start with it first? I'm sure they are both great programs but bikini weather is fast approaching and I don't have time to play around- lol! Thoughts?

No matter what program you do, diet is first and foremost in fat loss. Any program will work if your diet is on target for fat loss.

I agree that diet is the key and that is why I am not losing much bodyfat following NROLW. I am probably going to purchase Afterburn when I am finished in June/July with NROLW. However, in the meantime I am going to incorporate some of the principles in Afterburn now, such as HIIT more frequently along with the weight program in NROLW. I am sure if has been posted before, but here is the HIIT schedule that is discussed in Afterburn (at least that is what I was told). Bodybuilding.com - Alwyn Cosgrove - Energy System Training For Fat Loss! I am of course going to have to crack down on my eating habits to lose these last 15 pounds.

See, I started with Afterburn and then switched to NROLW b/c I am new to heavy lifting and feel that NROLW starts you out with easier exercises and builds up your strength. The exercises in AB start out tougher. If you are already pretty strong, then it won't be a problem. I struggled with some of them. (I was mostly doing The Firm and some Cathe before this program.) I'm really excited about finishing NROLW and successfully tackling AB!

I'm adding 3x/week of intervals to NROLW, plus some other cardio on off days to hopefully give me that extra fat loss boost.

As far as diet goes, I am following Precision Nutrition. I'm not sure what quantifies strength or heavy lifting but I did the p90X workouts for a few months and have been doing the NROL4W the last few weeks. Still wondering if I should go with Afterburn right now as my main goal is fat loss.

I agree that diet is extremely important for fat loss. Getting the diet right is the key.

I was planning on going back to cross-fit after completing NR4W but after reading so many rave reviews about Afterburn, I might pick up the book to give it a go instead.

I've been trying to decide what I'll do next. I think it'll be Afterburn or TT or NROL. Depends on the budget, probably. lol Ideally, I'd like to do Afterburn, I think.
