Default Introducing Myself...

Hello hello!

I am an almost-28-year old girl/woman from Canada. I've always loved the iron, but up until now have been mostly a dabbler--playing around for a few months and then falling off the wagon. I love lifting and getting strong, but I am completely self-taught. I lift alone and always have (except for a short time in college). I don't mind it--enjoy the peace actually, but it certainly makes is easier to start blowing off workouts when life gets crazy. I also find that I don't know many women in real life that are interested in this type of fitness. I know they're out there, but I don't know any that could be a workout partner (mostly because of logistics--hard to get a friend to meet you at the gym at 5am when the subway doesn't even run that early)

I'm starting NROL4W on Monday, and have been lurking these boards for a little while. Everyone seems so supportive here, and it really has the kind of vibe I'm looking for. So I'm thinking I'll have the best of both worlds--my alone-time solo workouts, with access to a community of like-minded women!

I've been following your progress--you've all been doing fabulous and I know it sounds crazy since I don't know you all, but... I'm totally proud!

Me, too! I love working out alone (I'd quickly get arrested if I had to work out in a public gym ) but I do love having this place for both info and motivation!

Welcome! I also really like the vibe of this board. I belong to a few others, and people here and not only informative, but nice...refreshing.

Hello! from another 28 year old Canadian!

I too belonged to a few other boards, but this one has been so refreshing and supportive.

Goodluck with your goals.

I'm starting tomorrow, too! It's good to see a couple of other post-Easter starters. I feel so behind the times
